System OCF (ORTEC Compact Fastener)
The OCF system is the flexible solution for supporting flat-bottomed rails. The use of a cushioned spacer plate allows for efficient protection from vibrations, with a recommended deflection limit of up to 3 mm. The system provides electrical insulation and consists of a ribbed base plate which has a cushioned spacer plate in addition to the intermediate layer under the base of the rail. The ribbed base plate has larger holes for the eccentric insulating bushings – a design which allows sufficient lateral adjustment of up to +/- 5 mm. The system also offers the facility for height adjustment from + 26 to - 4 mm, even during operation. The eccentric insulating bushings are precision-fitted in the ribbed base plate which sits on the foundation plate and is tensioned with nut and lock washer.
This reduces pre-tension of the cushioned spacer plate to a bare minimum or eliminates it completely. The necessary levelling work should be carried out with non-shrink cement mortar (e.g. ORTEC.Grout). The system is suitable for ballastless trackbed construction as found, for example, in tunnels, on bridges, or on the rail track itself.
