The company ORTEC Gesellschaft für schienentechnische Systeme was started up by Mr Hermann Ortwein in Cologne on 27.08.1990.
The aim which drove the business from the very beginning was to eliminate the vibrations generated by rail vehicles and the resulting noise.
Many effective and innovative products followed and set the signal for success.
No in-house production
Success, so they say, leads to independence but independence was the basis of our work at ORTEC GmbH right at the outset. The fact that we have no in-house production commitments and therefore do not need to achieve specific sales figures was the factor which helped us at the beginning to shape our identity as a design and engineering office developing solutions for our customers. And it is precisely this identity which keeps us on track to this day, working full steam ahead in our quest for innovative and green solutions that meet the exact specifications of our customers and serve the precise purposes for which they were intended.
Many reference customers in our own country and others can attest to our reliability in achieving the set targets by the agreed deadline.
As our customer, you are always our point of departure. The options open to you and the constraints which you impose act as the "track" along which we travel, providing the frame of reference for our input and our ideas in a development process involving constant consultation with you. And when this timetable is up and running, there will be no more stopping because if you hitch your wagon to us, you won't be pushed into the sidings but rather you will join us on a journey that will end in the roll-out of an innovative, eco-friendly, workable and viable solution.
